MP3 Manager scans folders set in "Settings/Media files setting" screen and refreshes the list of tracks. Automatic refresh on startup can be set off in "Preferences/Start/Re-scan database on startup".
You can drag and drop files from/to MP3 Manager.
Switch for activating CD Cache. When there are some tracks in CD Cache and CD is not in drive at the moment, tracks from CD Cache will be added into main track list. They are easily recognizable - instead of drive letter in pathname they have volume name in parentheses. Example: (MP301):\artist\track.mp3.
Available as button
as well.
You can selectively rename/delete CD's in database. Alternative way for CD deletion can be deleting of all tracks on CD (in fact CD Cache records) from track list with activated CD Cache. When last record is deleted, whole CD is released from CD Cache. Additional file system, which should be recognized by CD Cache system, can be entered here.
Exports tracks data to file. Free text format (TXT), HTML format, database
table (DBF), MS Excel (XLS) and CSV (comma delimited text fields) format supported.
Available as button
as well.
There are 4 steps in this wizard:
After pressing "Finish", MP3 Manager offers to you to display created list in associated application. It is important to understand that the list can be printed from this associated application (for example print XLS file from MS Excel).
Note: XLS output is limited to 16384 lines. To be able to transfer longer list into Excel, use CSV format which is associated with Excel as well.
Especially useful for preparing files for CD-R or FTP site. First select tracks (after activating CD Cache even from multiple CD's at once!), then launch this function, choose destination folder... could be copying simpler? Plus there are some very useful options in Preferences/CD Cache and Preferences/Other which can make your life a little easier...
Mass renaming tool. Create and use any renaming scheme. Renaming scheme is saved. For maximum security this function features an "undo" button. If renaming function fails, it stops immediately.
Files deleted are sent to Recycle bin.
Quick access to file - this function opens Explorer and selects the file.
Opens File properties just like from Explorer.
Closes MP3 Manager. (Isn't it surprising?) :-)
